We love that M-D PRO stands by their product warranty and with our great installation team, we can pass that assurance to our clients. The rigidness and structural integrity of PROVA BOARD
For all our slab work, PROVA BOARD waterproofing tile backer really holds up. I even drove my truck over it to test it before using it and it held up! Not only is it great for use as a waterproofing board, but it is our "go-to" substrate for countertop and fireplace applications.
The simplicity of a PROVA-MAT
We are confident that once a PROVA MAT is applied, our shower installations are 100% watertight. Not only is it easy to install, we love that we are able to use this membrane in all our steam shower applications with a suitable substrate. We use PROVA BOARD as the backer in these instances.
The flexibility of the pans, extensions and drain systems
There is really something to be said about PROVA's modular shower pan and extensions. They give us the flexibility to build out any shower base configuration you could imagine while saving us time during the installation process. Having the ability to change a shower base plan quickly when a homeowner or a designer changes their mind (it happens often) is an absolute life saver! We just add on extensions or we cut corners or ends off any piece to get the configuration we need. We also love the threaded collar on the drain, it allows us to adjust and lock to the height of the tile.
The strength and workability of their tile underlayment
Whether you need a basic tile underlayment, or you need to match up to thicker floors like 3/4" engineered hardwood, or you want to add in-floor heating, there is an option with either PROTEGGA, PROVA-FLEX, and/or PROVA FLEX-HEAT. They all have superior strength; its in their testing, yes, but we know it from working with the products. When we kneel on them, they don't crush or buckle from the point pressure. We can take a 100 lb roller over each of them with no issues. The membranes are rigid enough to provide the strength we are looking for, yet they don't hold roll memory. They lay flat when unrolled, making it super easy and quick for us to mortar down.
